Celebrating a Decade of Dance at Hatch House, presented by the Covent Garden Dance Company on 26th, 27th and 28th July 2019

The Covent Garden Dance Company celebrates a decade of dance with the 10th Anniversary of staging ‘Ballet Under the Stars’ in July. This world class evening of ballet and dance is now an established summer event held in Hatch House’s beautiful 17th Century walled Dutch garden in the heart of Wiltshire.

Every July the glorious garden at Hatch is transformed by the Covent Garden Dance Company. It’s covered with a bespoke canopy creating a 430 seat dinner theatre where guests enjoy not only the setting but breath taking ballet, dance and fine dining.

The programme mixes classical, neo-classical and contemporary ballet and 2019 will be no exception. “The tenth anniversary will be a celebration of the last decade of dance and there will be one of the most impressive line-ups of world class dancers that have ever performed at Hatch. It will boast stars including Xander Parish OBE of The Mariinsky Ballet, the first British dancer to ever be employed by this prestigious company, Steven McRae and Lauren Cuthbertson, both Principals with The Royal Ballet and Ksenia Ovsyanick, Principal Staatsballett Berlin. There is no doubt that the programme will be sensational too, one of the highlights definitely being tap work “Something Different” performed by Steven McRae,” says Matt Brady, director Covent Garden Dance.

For many, ‘Ballet Under the Stars’ is a red letter date in their summer calendar but every year this incredible weekend of performances is also discovered by new guests. Covent Garden Dance has built up a loyal following, achieved by the company’s ability to create stunning programmes that combine fine dining in an incredible location with a sublime mixed-bill programme. The clever combination makes this intimate evening a memorable of experience.

A quintessentially British evening in a beautiful country garden with friends and family ensures this event is one of the south west’s best kept secrets just waiting to be discovered. Don’t miss it.
