The Salisbury Conversations 2019: Crossing Divides are a series of three public discussions exploring topical issues in front of an audience.

Nazir Afzal, the lawyer who prosecuted the Rochdale grooming gang, Jim Waterson the Guardian’s Media Editor, Natalie Haynes, comedian, classicist and author of the Ancient Guide to Modern Life are just three of the panellists taking part in the ‘conversations’ being put together by Salisbury Cathedral and BBC Wiltshire. The panellists are not the celebrities of politics or government but rather commentators and social and political observers – individuals on the “inside”, who influence our news, views and understanding of the world around us. More details can be found in the attached press release.

The project was initiated by the Dean of Salisbury, The Very Revd. Nicholas Papadopulos and will take place in the Cathedral infront of an audience. They will be recorded on Wednesday 6, 13 and 20 March and transmitted the following evening on BBC Wiltshire, then made available on BBC Sounds.
