AFL, a global fiber optic manufacturer, has completed its annual ‘Imagine That!’ fundraiser, donating £5,000 to four organisations in the Swindon community.

This year’s theme for the fundraiser was ‘game on’, and featured various gaming concepts. Fiona Hill, the company’s community outreach coordinator said “Community engagement is one of our core values and throughout this campaign, our associates showed us how they were living it, their passion to help others was evident.”

Wiltshire organisations supported by the campaign include Prospect Hospice, Headway Swindon, Wilshire Air Ambulance and Threshold Housing Link. Prospect Hospice provides care for someone with a life-limiting illness. Headway Swindon is a support system for those who have suffered from a brain injury. Wiltshire Air Ambulance is an essential helicopter emergency medical service providing care for the people of Wiltshire and surrounding areas. And Threshold Housing Link supports the homeless.

The campaign educates and engages associates around the world in the needs of the community. During the campaign, associates are asked to consider making a contribution. The total raised in this manner was this year $506,000 which will go to communities around AFL bases worldwide.
