A partnership between Wiltshire Community Foundation and Wessex Water has resulted in more than £19,000 worth of funding for 15 projects aimed at improving the environment in communities across the county.
The Southern Cathedrals Festival (Friday 15 - Sunday 17 July) begins a summer of sublime music at Salisbury Cathedral with music by Vaughan Williams, César Franck, Haydn and Bach. A concert by organist, composer and TV presenter Anna Lapwood follows on Saturday 23 July. In August, the popular Organ Prom returns, a not-to-be-missed event performed by the Cathedral’s ‘home team’ of organists, Director of Music David Halls, Assistant Director of Music John Challenger and Assistant Organist Samuel Bristow.
