Wiltshire Music Centre receives £300k award from Arts Council England and retains its status as a National Portfolio Organisation

We are delighted that Wiltshire Music Centre in Bradford on Avon has been successful in its application to Arts Council England to be a National Portfolio Organisation from 2023 to 2026. Wiltshire Music Centre will receive core funding of £103,546 per annum for a three-year period to help deliver Arts Council England’s “Let’s Create” strategy to widen access, inclusion and involvement for all in the arts and culture.

Amazed at the Medieval Hall

I was glad to see the advertisement in the October issue of Wiltshire Life for the Salisbury Medieval Hall’s amazing Music & More - celebration of music making and the spoken word held in the last fortnight of September. On the strength of what the audiences experienced, we eagerly hope that this enterprising venture will become a regular festival in future years.

Salisbury Cathedral is excited to announce that the actress and singer Toyah Willcox will narrate Prokofiev’s Peter and the Wolf on Saturday 5 November, the last concert of this year’s successful 2022 Organ Festival. Cunningly timed to work in with fireworks displays later in the day, the concert starts at 14.00.
