One of the things I love about Wiltshire is that just when you think you know every square inch of the county something comes along to surprise you. This is exactly what happened on a recent visit to Devizes.

The restaurant is light, open and spacious, there is nothing pretentious about the food, it is fine quality, where possible, locally sourced and seasonal and it is well priced, they have a great wine list. So, my advice is to take a trip to Devizes and when you book a table for supper at The Peppermill, book yourself in for an overnight stay and have a mini break in on the doorstep here in Wiltshire.
