Salisbury will be hosting its second ‘Salisbury does Strictly’ charity dance event in September, with Strictly’s very own Ian Waite and Erin Boag sitting on the judging panel.

The event will have 10 competing couples, and will even feature a showcase dance from the Strictly stars. Tickets to the event include a two-course meal, with the event itself being held at The Stones Hotel.

A launch event was held on the 12th of July in front of Salisbury’s Guildhall featuring alive dance routine led by Jackie Edmett, the organiser. Jackie, who runs Your Day Your Dance, a dance instruction studio, set up Salisbury Does Strictly for its successful debut last year, and hopes to consolidate her success in the second year of this Strictly inspired celebration of dance.

If you’d like to compete at the event, but don’t think you’d be up to scratch – don’t worry. No previous dance experience is necessary, as a local dance instructor will take you through your paces.

The event will all be in aid of Salisbury Hospice Charity, who keep Salisbury Hospice running thanks to the vital fundraising work they do. Salisbury Hospice managed to help over 1,000 patients last year thanks to this fundraising, and provide this help for free, with a huge range of medical, emotional and spiritual care available to patients.
