Georgie Green sat down with Wiltshire Life's 2019 Carer of the Year award-winner Lucy Dunn and her son Louis to talk about the support she's received from the community, and how she's managed to raise awareness for Louis' condition.

Lucy Dunn's four-year-old son, Louis, was diagnosed with an extremely rare condition, Congenital Disorder of Glycosylation Type 1A when he was 16 months old. Because of this, he has Global Development Delay and is as yet unable to crawl, walk or talk. Lucy is positive, proactive, and ensures Louis has as much stimulation as possible. She has learned therapies and incorporates them into his daily life.

Lucy works incredibly hard in her spare time to fundraise in any way possible to provide Louis the therapy that is so vital to his progression. She has currently raised around £25,000, all of which will go towards these therapy sessions, each week of which costs just under £1000.
