Mayor of Salisbury City Council, cllr John Walsh, mayoress Carrie Walsh, leader of the council cllr Jeremy Nettle and his wife Sue Nettle visited Julia’s House on Friday 4th October.

The visit at the Wiltshire Hospice in Devizes was a chance to find out more about how Julia’s House support local children and families within our community.

Mayor of the Council, Cllr John Walsh said “I was very impressed by the excellent facilities and staff provided by Julia’s House in Devizes for children with life threatening illnesses from across Wiltshire.

“The fact that all of their funding comes from the public here in Salisbury and elsewhere in the County made me really appreciate the generosity of so many of my citizens.”

Julia’s House is a Children’s Hospice in Dorset and Wiltshire. They are dedicated to bringing comfort and support to families caring for children with life limiting or life threatening conditions.

The award winning charity is hosting an open day on Thursday 28 November from 11am until 2pm at their hospice in Devizes, Wilshire. It gives visitors the chance to meet staff and tour the hospice to find out more about how your support makes a real difference to children and families in your community.
